Welcome to SnowCycle

Me in the Simpsons?"Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover."

Welcome to SnowCycle, a website based on my interests in cycling and skiing.

This website has some reports and photographs from the Spokes Sunday Bike Rides that I lead. If you're interested in coming along, we meet on the 1st Sunday of the Month at the Usher Hall, Lothian Road at 10am. Spokes is the Lothian cycle campaign, so our main efforts and activities are in the council areas of Edinburgh, East Lothian, Midlothian and West Lothian.See Spokes for more info.

I am currently working on this website, but old stuff can be seen at http://www.snowcycle.biz/ or http://www.snowcycle.org.uk/

I have also added some details of winter holidays I have made, as well as adding photos from these trips. If you live in Edinburgh, and want to come along (there's no joining fee!!!!), let me know.

Warm Regards.

Visit http://www.anjcraft.co.uk/ for handmade cards, notebooks and earrings.

TryCycling Rides
Sunday, 28 June 2009, 10:00
by Contact SnowCycleHits : 2598

TryCycling rides are suitable for novice cyclists and those who are unsure of their abilities. Children under 16 are welcome if accompanied by a responsible adult. The ride is usually about ten miles, which is taken at a gentle pace, with plenty of stops. Today's run will be to Cramond, and will include a lunch break at a café (or a picnic spot for those who prefer to bring their own food). The ride should end early afternoon.

You must book to come along on this ride, but rides are free.
